It’s time to cast your amalgamation vote!
When to vote
AMHA is asking all
members to stop by the East Elgin Community Complex this Saturday, Nov 18th
between 10am and 2pm to cast an amalgamation vote.
BMHA
is asking members to stop by the Belmont Arena this Friday Nov 17th between
5 and 9 pm
Every
member of AMHA at all levels of hockey is strongly encouraged to vote.
Who can vote
- Your child must be registered
with AMHA or BMHA to vote and you must either vote at the Belmont Arena
Friday Nov 17th between 5 and 9pm or East Elgin Community
Complex on Saturday Nov 18th between 10am-2pm. No Proxy voting.
- Each member (parent/guardian,
coach, assistant coaches, managers, trainers, official, board member,
players over the age of 18, etc.) will receive one vote.
- No member is entitled to no more
than 1 vote.
- Both parents of a player under
the age of 18 have a vote as each parent is considered a member.
- A majority yes vote of 67% or
greater from both BMHA and AMHA members separately is required to proceed
with the amalgamation.
Member verification
- All members are asked to update their players Spordle(HCR) Account contact information (this is the system used to register for hockey), as this information will be used to confirm membership enrollment.
- Valid photo ID must match the surname and address of the player or registrant on the membership list &/or contact information.
- For blended families, parents or guardians with different surnames, and or legal custodial parental guardians – your information must be uploaded into Spordle(HCR) in order to provide proof of membership and for verification purposes.
Voting process
- Be ready to show valid Photo ID with a name matching your Spordle(HCR) account &/or contact information.
- Volunteers will be present throughout the voting time to hand out ballots and assist members.
- Belmont and Aylmer boards will communicate the results of the vote in a timely manner following a final count of votes.
