Belmont and Aylmer Minor hockey families will have two final opportunities to weigh in on the proposed amalgamation before being asked to vote on the proposal on Nov. 17 and 18, 2023.
In order for amalgamation to proceed, members in both centers must vote and the 2/3 majority must support moving Rep hockey to the East Elgin Minor Hockey Association.
Local League programs in both centers will not be impacted by amalgamation.
Town Hall Meetings.
Two town halls have been scheduled. To cast an informed vote, we strongly encourage members to attend one, or both, of these meetings to hear important information and updates.
Thursday Nov. 2nd at 7:30 pm - Belmont Arena, Belmont
Wednesday Nov. 8th at 7:00 pm - Imperial Hall, Aylmer
We ask all members to bring their questions or submit them to be addressed at the meetings.
Email them in advance to
[email protected] by Mon Oct. 30 to have them addressed during the town halls.
November Amalgamation Vote
BMHA and AMHA members will vote separately in their centers on either Nov. 17 or 18.
Each association member will receive one vote and must vote at the arena aligned to the association your player is registered with.
BMHA: Fri Nov. 17th - 5:00 – 9:00 pm - Belmont Arena
AMHA: Sat Nov. 18th - 10:00am – 2:00pm - Blueline Room, East Elgin Community Complex
All members will receive an email a week before the vote with a voting location reminder and more information regarding voting rules, who can vote and how the results are determined.
